Visiting Jack

This past weekend I went to visit Baby Jack, he is now 2 weeks old! He is so precious, handsome & little....lil' guy! I held him for the very first time, which was an amazing experience. It was awkward at first because I didn't know what to do, I mean I know but when approached with him I was like 'Whoa, how do I do this?!' The last time I held a baby as little as Jack was when my brother was a few days old. I was 8 years old, and more confident and carefree holding babies then. The only other time I held babies that small was when the babies were about 5 months old, and that was five summers ago when I was a pre-school teacher for the 2 & 3 year old Bunnies class.

So anyways, I sat on the couch & Christine just handed him on over to me. Jack hung out for a few minutes in my arms, let one loose, we laughed and Justin picked him up to change him...he did that again later on to Justin, changing time again, too funny!

I got Baby Jack a green polka dotted piggy bank from elegant baby, http://www.elegantbaby.com/ and put some money in the piggy. So glad he didn't have one yet, and that me, his Aunt Kal got him his very first piggy bank! That's big you know...when friends & family visit they'll contribute to Jack's college fund. I also got him a soft plush teddy bear rattle toy, that he smiled & laughed at and this durable, washable bib that will come in handy, washable is great. When I went shopping for him I wanted to get almost everything I saw...babies have the neatest stuff! There are these toys called Baby Whoozit & Tizoo from manhattan toy, http://www.manhattantoy.com/ and they are cool. As soon as I saw them I remembered learning in my Child Psychology class that new babies like colors, different shapes, and noises...These whoozits are noisy toys, appearance wise. I would like to get one for him, or both, I think Jack will like.

I also picked up this little massage booklet that came with massaging oils so mommy & daddy could have some pampering time....they were both saying 'I need a massage' to each other, that was sweet.

Aunt Kal learned alot on her visit to see Baby Jack, and I left when pumping time came up...that's a whole other mechanism that comes in it's own briefcase looking thing....wow, it's all so fascinating, beautiful and just awesome!
