good tunes

I've been listening to tunes from Greece, music from overseas and Euro artists, really good music...Zucchero, Baila Morena; Mihai, Tornero, the two most popular this summer. My music collection needed some new soundage from the states, some of my faves right now are ~ The Killers, When You Were Young; Katie Melua, Shy Boy; KT Tunstall, Black Horse & A Cherry Tree and Suddenly I See; Blue October, Hate Me; Pussycat Dolls, Buttons; Fergie, London Bridge; Justin Timberlake, Sexy Back; Ludacris, Money Maker; Beyonce, Irreplaceable and not only good tune but video ~ John Mayer, Waiting on a World to Change.

beautifully stated~read it twice

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heartbroken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt, because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.

Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin. ~anonymous~

Making Strides

Against Breast Cancer ~ the walk last Sunday was wonderful! There were 13,000 people who walked and $1.2 million was raised. Five of us gals from the office, my dad, friends & co-workers from the restaurant participated. We walked five miles which was great. It put a smile on my face every time I would think about all the families, friends, survivors, and co-workers who were being supportive, it still does. I noticed memory quilts on display and they were all dated, 2005, 2004 and so on with messages to loved ones who are here & who are not sewn onto the quilts, how nice! I added a message for my mom in her memory so we can check it out when we support & walk next year :)

Yahoo! Time Capsule

is cool...."For 30 days, from October 10 until November 8, Yahoo! users worldwide can contribute photos, writings, videos, audio — even drawings — to this electronic anthropology project. A mosaic of revealing snapshots will be sealed and entrusted to Smithsonian Folkways Recordings based in Washington D.C., officially taking its place in history where it will remain until it's reopened in 2020 for Yahoo!'s 25th birthday."

Anyone who contributes will be able to locate their contribution by a link provided via email, once it is approved. I'll contribute, not sure for which theme...keep posted!

flickr badge

Is right under my archives on the right. I've added some more pictures on flickr but not all, just yet...posting pics when you have so many is definitely time consuming.
