I've fasted for the last week, and have been eating veggies & too many carbs! We are going to visit our family in LI and eat lots of good greek food, drink krasi, wine & have an assortment of deserts to chose from...yum-yum!!
The link to the church my family goes to is below. We only made it to the Lamentation Service on Holy Friday, this Holy Week. I almost knocked the epitafos down, yeah something I would do...at the end of the ceremony when we were all outside awaiting to go under it, I went into it head on, yeah that was a little scene, almost catastrophe! This, epitafos symbolizes the tomb, and is made out of wood, looks like a smaller version of one of those things that a princess or queen in India would sit in, kind of hard to explain. It has these beautiful flowers attached to it that are taken off so everyone can take one home at the end of the service, which was about 3 hours long but it was truly beautiful ~ http://www.gocoos.org/
